White Wednesday

Tomorrow I will be going on an excursion with some good friends to enjoy there company and visit a flea market in Upstate New York. I wonder what I'll wear??? The weather will most likely be warm and there will be many people who will also be bustling through the aisles looking for that diamond in the rough, that last part of the puzzle they've been looking for. Surely I won't be the only one hoping to find the perfect thing that will tickle my fancy and the winner of the Give Away.

I will wear comfortable footwear to be able to easy the length of distance that must be mapped. I do want to look fashionable, as I want to make a good impression on my hostess.

I think these will do fine. Understated but elegant. Maybe no one will notice the stains :)


I will wear my finest of garments. This one is not too cumbersome and I will ease through the crowds with nothing but a light graze by passersby.

A small purse to hold my essentials but a large carriage to hold everything else.

There will be so many pretty things to look at and buy.
Maybe I will find some fine periodicals to bring back to the lakehouse. It's always important to keep up on the weather and latest crop schedules even for a lady. We can sit and read them to one another after dinner.

Always interesting to read about and see the latest fashion too.

Some sparkly jewelry to add to a hat or gown.

We will light candles and drink wine and relive our day.....each one of us with a different story to tell. We will stay up late, but not too late for we will need to rest up for the next day of shopping .

Who knows what we'll find. We'll hear interesting stories from all the vendors of where their items have come from. The history that these pieces posses.

We will undoubtedly be tired but it will be wonderful and comforting to slip on my nightie and lie on cool white sheets and dream of another glorious day spent with good friends...
