They were all Yellow

I always associate the color yellow with Spring.
Don’t you???

It’s a Happy Color
….then again I think that holds true about Pink too.

yellow viola

It’s fun to watch what colors customers like and are drawn to.
Some like very bright color combos….
some more muted and pastel.
I’ve run the gambit myself and have experimented with all colors at one time.
Every Spring I used to like to wait until something struck me….
and when it did.
Hold on!!!!!!!  I was obsessed in searching out what plants
would fit the bill.
To the point that I would get really distracted at work.
It was all I could think about.
Really gets your blood pumping when you have a vision.
It’s quite a rush.

  5. Your pictures are beautiful Carole, so sunny although for me Spring is not yellow, because it's al about blue right now in my garden and purple, Summer is pink and white, Autumn is red/yellow and Winter is green/white/red.
    Happy May day's to you!

  6. Oh my I should just start each day looking at your pictures - Gorgeous! I love colors and how they make us feel. I used to work for a paint company and fell in love with a yellow called paper lantern. I've taken it with me on several moves. It was my dining room color in two homes and is now my laundry room color. Anything to make laundry a happy thing, I didn't really need help associating dining with being happy.

  13. It's quite a while ago that I had a phase when I loved the combination of blue and yellow. Right now I'm not so drawn to yellow, especially when it's bright but I still like it better than orange :-).
I'm so sorry that you missed Brimfield! I know that you like to go on the hunt. Hopefully you'll find the time to visit another great flea market soon.
Have a wonderful weekend, dear Carole!
    Hugs to you, my friend

  17. I adore yellow. It is both calming and happy for me. I have many yellows in my flower garden and I painted our main rooms a soft butter color which is wicked to photograph but makes antiques look good.

  21. Hola Carole! No soy amante de este color, pero las flores lucen hermosas!El amarillo, según varios artistas producen efectos varios, pero sí se dice y se siente como un color pleno de luz del sol, y energético! Irradia mucha luz, contagia vida. Un beso, Gloria.

  22. Hi Carole,

Your photographs are beautiful with all the amazing yellow flowers you have growing at your place.
    I especially love the pansies.
I think about the only yellow I have in my garden is freesias, when they come out. I normally prefer, blues, lavender, pinks and white.

Hope that you are enjoying your weekend

  24. Yellow is the color of Spring for me...I remember a bouquet of yellow flowers in my Mom's blue and white kitchen every Spring!

Now I have my own blue and white kitchen and am doing the same thing!

  25. Hi Carole,
Yellow is, indeed the colour of Spring and is such a cheerful colour. It isn't my fvourite colour for flowers though. I do love white, lilacs and pinks and lots of green foliage. myself. Because we have had such wonderful weather over here ( the warmest April for 400 years !!) everything is very early. It is much colder now so, I am not filling my pots until the end of May. That's when we can be sure that there won't be any frost.
Your photos are beautiful. Are they all taken in your Nursery ? I wish that I could be one of your customer's !! Much love. XXXX

Hope all is happy at your house. It is still snowing here, but any form of moisture is welcome! :)
