Vintage at the gift show

Since coming back from the show….which I only went to on Monday,
the week has just flown by.

I didn’t end up taking half as many pictures as I had wanted to.
So much to see and order …..so little time.
But I did go back to this one showroom at the end of the show just so
I’d have more to show you then just lots of pictures of the city while on the shuttle bus.
Not sure that would interest you though I loved the vantage point myself.

Anyways I’ll keep this short and just let you see some of the cool
things that manufacturers are producing that are vintage inspired.

I had to have this.

I’m going to use this for planting succulents in.

chandie

This is the chandie I bought myself. I know I shouldn’t have.

chalk board

Cool chalkboard but what I really loved was the artwork….
with chalk!

cubby

Tin cubbies
                    pumpkins

Some Vintage style Halloween which I debated on ordering.
I really like it but I don’t find it moves for me.

I couldn’t help wanting to take a picture of it anyways.

Do you decorate a lot for Halloween or is it just Fall Decorations?
My niece will be here visiting in October and I plan on doing a bit of
Halloween decorating like I used to do. She’s french so I’m thinking she’ll think it’s a little strange….

or we’re strange.
But when has that ever stopped me…?

For Vintage Inspired Friday.
By the way she's having a great 2 yr blogging anniversary
Giveaway.

Have a good weekend!

  2. Wow Carole, these are great photos - very inspiring! I don't blame you for ordering the chandie - I mean how could you have possibly not??! And the....what the heck would you call it with the faucet?!? LOVE that! Good choices in my book! I love shopping the mart - haven't been in a while and now I wish I had gone lol

As for Halloween....I know you might not believe me, this is just too weird.....MY niece will be visiting me October 5th through the 12th from Portland, Oregon. This will be her first official vacation as an adult and we are so excited she has chosen to visit us!!!! I too will be decorating for Halloween. Not that we don't since I LOVE LOVE LOVE Halloween decorations but her boyfriend might wonder a bit about the old aunt who has a graveyard in her front flower bed ;)

I hope you enjoy your time with your niece and are looking forward to it as much as I am mine.

One other side note....I have a Crickett too! He is a tabby just like yours. Yes, seriously. And he is Momma's boy in a serious way.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Oh Carole,
You do this everytime and show me such wonderful things that I can't just go and buy !! It's a long way from London !!!! haha
I LOVE all of it ! From your sparkly chandelier to the thingy that you are going to grow succulents in. I put succulents in some of the old chimney pots that we have and into a shallow terracotta bowl type pot. I want them to hang over the edges which they are a bit but, maybe I should have used a different one. What will you use ?
....oh, and the mirrors. How could I forget the mirrors ?!! It would probably be very dangerous for me to be in New York when the gift show is on.....I wouldn't be able to control myself !! XXXX

  11. Great pictures, oh I would have loved to have shopped with you. In answer to your question, I decorate for fall, but I decorate to the hilt for Halloween for our Annual Halloween adult costume party. Yes, some think I am crazy, but who says just the kids should have all the fun.

  13. Wow! Great pics of some amazing merchandise! The metal cart was a definite must have! Love the chalkboard too (because of the drawings). I decorate mostly for fall (pumpkin and leaves and mums galore) and mix in a few vintage style jack o'lanterns, and the like for accents. I do NOT get into decorating my front lawn like a graveyard though... lol ;-)

  15. It's ALL exquisite...LOVE the shower planters what would even be better is if they were actually working fountains - the one you bought is KILLER! And, the chandelier ROCKS! Yes, Halloween is one of my favorite decorating times of year. Thanks for the inspiration for the day...

  16. Wow! That cart is fabulous and the things you bought for yourself are wonderful!!
You know that I hate Halloween Carole...scared of it! So, I try to stick to fall decorations, white pumpkins, etc. This year...I may skip it all together! lol....Your niece will love it though...it is so American! :)

  17. Hi Carole, I think I could have spent almost one day only at this fantastic showroom. They have so many great things. I don't think I've seen such beautiful mirrors before. The trolley is awesome and I love the chess figures, the large glass jars and a lot more. Congrats on you new chandie :-)! It's gorgeous.
    Lots of hugs to you,
