Angel Friends

What a special day yesterday was…..
Laura came down to spend the day with our friend Paula.

Which meant that I got to see Laura finally after so many months.

I wanted to make her something….
something that would have special meaning
        to her.
                                              full view
I had been saving this flash card since I got it this summer in Brimfield.
It was no big treasure and wasn’t exactly sure what I would do with it.
A couple of days ago I started giving it more serious thought.
                                              52
For anyone who follows Laura’s blog will know that
this has been a trying year for her both with
family and with leaving a long time career.
She has stayed positive thru it all
and has touched our lives in more ways then I can count….
Sharing her passion for collecting since she was a small child.
she brings these things to life with the memories that many of us relate to.
To many of us these antique bits are more then
            just old things
…they are wrapped up with love and symbols of a time that we hold dear
and that can’t be bought in any new BOX store!

                                               more 52
I pray that the angels will guide you through the rest of what
life has in store for you.

Christmas is about  friends and family.
For some of us it’s about remembering the
families we also no longer have in our lives.
I miss my parents so much this time of year
but I know they are there with me always.
            Watching over me.

                                                               wrapped
Wishing you all the best the season has to offer!
I’m off to a Christmas party tonight.
….another long time tradition at our friends Ginny and Joe.
…..and as usual we’re running late!!!!
but I wanted to join Rebecca for her Birthday Blog Party.
            What a cutie!
             Happy Birthday Rebecca

Your music choice is perfect for this post. Yes...love is alive as long as there are people walking among us like you.
What a beautiful gift for a beautiful soul.
I miss my folks as well, but as a good friend recently said..."They're not in my past, but in my future."
Merry Christmas my friend.

Oh dear Carole,
I was so touched by your beautiful and thoughtful gift and now this sweet tribute...
I do, indeed feel blessed to have you among my friends. You are one of the hardest working girls I know. Your artistic creations and amazing displays delight the eye and your generous and loving spirit brings joy to all who have the privilege to call you friend.
Thanks so much for being mine!
It is without a doubt that I am confident your Mom and Dad watch over you.
Merry Christmas and much love, Laura

That turned out beautifully, I'm sure Laura loves it! I think the holidays do that to all of us, I miss my mom more than ever and my talks with her right now let her know that. My dad already left for warmer weather for the winter and so I miss not being able to go over and visit him for the holidays also. I hope you had fun at your Christmas gathering with your friends! My weekend was full of laughter with family as we said good by to my brother, those people really know how to make me laugh! merry, merry Christmas! Theresa xoxo
