Jeanne d’Arc Living Giveaway

It just occurred to me the other day that I need to do a giveaway to celebrate the New Year.
I know we’re  already 1/2 way through the first month.
No matter…..
it’s the thought that counts right?

EN0112

It's a little token to thank everyone that comes here to visit,
leaving comments of encouragement, emailing me so we can really get to know each other,
and to thank the lurkers….the kind people that don’t have blogs
but stop by to see what’s going on in our life.
I say “our” life because as much as George would rather I keep him out
of it……I just keep pulling him back in.
What can I say….he’s more interesting then me.
I know the kitties are for sure but they like the press....haha

The last couple of years I have been lucky enough to have met some of the people that read my blog.
When they say
“ I read your blog”
“Oh my gosh you do???”
that’s not really what I say…. just what I say in my head.
I don’t even know what I actually say, I’m usually so shocked.

Keeps me on my toes…..
and to tell you the truth scares me a little when I’m about to hit that
Publish button.
I guess we all do that on occasion.
Helps me to think I’m writing to a friend…..
and  I am.
I knew I loved blogs before I had one of my own and thought it would be fun but never imagined
it would bring me such great friends.
Women who love all the same things I love too.
I'm so thankful for that.

OK back to the giveaway!

I have three issues of this amazing magazine and cherish each one. Just this morning I was leafing through an old one trying to figure out how they do those "grayed" photos. :) I just decorated our front porch in a sorta Nordic theme and love it. Thank you for offering this fabulous give-away and I would love to be included. And I am following too. :) Have a wonderful weekend. xo

Happy New Year, Carole!

I love JdA French/Nordic style. That's where the inspiration came from when designing & building our kitchen cabinets, and the direction I'm taking our cottage interior. Light, bright, clutter free, with great texture and interesting vintage finds. Love it!

Know you've been so very busy with the Christmas season and now I suppose it's time to start preparing for Spring. And although I do not always leave a comment, I do follow and love everything you share.

With the passage of time I find I want to "pare down". So what I like about the magazine is how beautiful and attainable it makes the austere. Life, words and home can always benefit from thoughtful editing.

Thank you for this opportunity at winning an edition of this inspiring publication!

Hi Carol,
Thank you for having this giveaway.

What I like about Nordic style is how it uses natural materials mixed with modern European pieces. JDL can make a sleek, ultra-modern plastic chair look completely at home next to a stripped primitive chest. It's a great magazine. Very chic! I'd love to win.

Hi there Carole,
First of all, sorry that I missed your last post.....it was the one I was looking forward to seeing ..... the one with the presents !!!! I've had a look now and you are all so clever. The presents and the way you all wrap them are beautiful.
Well, Jeanne d'Arc Living is the only magazine that I buy on a regular basis now but, I haven't got this current issue. It is the most beautiful interiors magazine on the planet bar NONE !! I adore every page, every recipe, every little detail. I love ALL of the houses that they show, the flowers in the summer, the Christmas decorations, the pages giving details of where to get things, the clothes, the interiors ..... EVERYTHING..... every last little detail !!
It's a wonderful giveaway and, I shall put it on my sidebar.
Oh, and thanks for your lovely comment. I wish that I could have seen you, dancing to the music !! XXXX

Hi Carole...
Middle of January already! I don't get it. Is it just me or has someone out there been messing with the big clock in the sky that doles out the minutes. Somehow it just goes faster and faster.
Love this mag as you well know. Throw my hat in - I always enjoy coming over here.
I hope your days are good... so glad I found you and can call you friend.
Blessings

Dear Carole

Oh I'm so happy I can now leave a comment for you!!

I think I told you I'm now in love with JDL - and the bits you've showed us from this copy look amazing - such a sweet giveaway - thank you for your kindness - again!!

I love the French Nordic white and grey colour palette. I particlarly love bleached wooden floor boards, white washed wooden shutters - there's a simplicity about it that appeals to me.

I'll mention it on my little blog on my next post tomorrow!

Carol, your new blog banner is lovely and so reflective of the Jeanne d'Arc sensibility, which we all love. I guess what appeals to me the most about it is, the simple and unpretentious way these interiors celebrate the beauty of Nature. This is what is most evident to me. I am very happy to enter your give away.....and hope to win!!!

Hmmmmm, what do we love about JDL? Our most treasured pictures in this publication are those with the honest white finishes, the flowers (especially the pink ones), the natural elements incorporated into the home, and the quality of the paper. What? Hey, it's me, Romeo, a cat who lays on magazines can tell you what quality paper is and THIS is important. Just ask one of yours ;)

Please enter us twice - we would LOVE to win a copy of this maagazine. And I promise I would let "her" look at it before I drooled on it....

WOW! Now, that's one grand giveaway. I love this magazine.....and have several past issues, but it's so darn expensive I don't treat myself often. Am crazy about that look. I actually knew nothing about it until I started blogging......isn't it just so pretty and serene? If I could start over that's what I'd go for. I have a LOT more color so starting over would be super spendy, wouldn't it? :-)

Please throw me into the hat......so hoping to be the lucky chickie.

Blessings,

hi Carole! I would love to wind this issue, or any issue for that matter! I have fallen in love with the style the first time I saw it. It feels so peaceful and earthy. I want to paint all of our rooms white and have been trying to clear the clutter. Slowly, slowly, it's like weening myself from coffee... no, that's not a good example, because that would be impossible! LOL I'm rambling now, but you get the point, right? I love JDA!

Carole, what a lovely giveaway! I have let all my other magazine subscriptions go in favor of Jeanne D'Arc ! It is a step back in time--the soft, subdued palette of colors, the thought that somewhere in the world, people actually have time to make the old-fashioned Christmas figure ornaments shown in the Christmas issue of "Living", to go into their gardens to pick berries for making infused oils and brandies! Americans can learn much from our European 'cousins'!
Love reading your blog, though I confess I haven't much time to do so, and you have the (perhaps dubious??) honor of being the first person whose blog I have ever left a comment on! Would you please put me down for two entries?
Thank you for a lovely and inspiring site! Many Blessings! Anita

Hi Carole,

I would absolutely love to win a copy of Jeanne d'Arc Living. The weather has been frightful this past week with minus 30 C & a howling wind. There's nothing that would please me more than to win a copy of JDL to curl up with on these long winter nights. The look is so soothing & simple (I have pored over the web-site many times) & to have my very own copy of the magazine would keep me going until spring.

Here's hoping....Thanks for sharing you pics, stories & inspiration!
