I’ve wanted to share with you my friend Suzan being in the March issue
of Country Sampler for over a month now.
UPDATE: 3/26/12
I just received an email from the editor of Country Sampler
Magazine that since I had no rights to the photos I could not show them on my blog.
Just so you know that's why their is only the cover showing.
I completely understand their position on this and did not intend on causing any harm which I'm sure they understood.
I thought it might promote the magazine though in my hast did not link to the magazine, though I doubt that was the issue.
The editor was very kind and just asked that I remove the photos but could keep the cover image.
So for those of you out there that are thinking of doing the same
kind of post please be aware that you maybe asked to take it down.
this was the email I received.

when you take a photo without permission.

maybe I should just stick to plants and my own photography....

Wow! I better run out and get a copy of that magazine! Those photos are chock full of inspiration!
Happy Spring Carole...don't work too hard! (and I know how ridiculous it is to say that to you and George this time of year!) Take care, Laura :)
I have that magazine. Ran out to get it when I heard her home would be in it. LOVE her style!!!!!!!!!And her sence of humor too;)It will be going into my scrapbook of inspirations.
Thanks for sharing it.

I love Z's house, but more importantly I just love the person that she is and the wonderful things she creates!
Kat
Carole, you have such talented friends! What a sweet tribute to her.
You're gonna' LOVE your new room! And her studio is my favorite room too, I think...I think I could probably sink down into that comfy chair and sit for hours - it's SUCH a comfortable feeling in there! She rocks...the house rocks...you rock! Happy Monday, Carole - XOXO
GORJUS!!!
What a clever person Suzan is.
I love it all but that green island bench in the kitchen is wonderful.
I'm also drooling at all the little cabinets with drawers in her studio, oh and the hanging thingy with the spoons (like a chandelier)!!
I'm so glad you gave us this lovely tour - thank you Carole.

Dear Carole,
I wish all those wonderful American mags were to buy here in little Denmark! as they are not, I`m happy you showed all those beautiful photoes from Susan`s home- I love the inviting and wonderful country home feeling I get looking at them-
Hope for you ,you can some day sleep in that Canopy bed :-) Love it too.
Hugs and a beautiful week to you Carole.

Ooooo Carole,
Z's home is amazing. I love everything in it and the way that she puts things together. That is a real talent ..... and, to be in a magazine must be so exciting. A friend of mine who has a shop, had her home in one of our major publications and she said that they did things that she wasn't so keen on. They also got some of her information wrong as well.
Thanks so much for showing us as we can't get Country Sampler over here. XXXX
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - boy howdy, everybody's getting so persnickety these days! :-) It was fun while it lasted...for two hours! Happy Monday, Carole...you tried! :-)
Oh my goodness Carole I am so glad I took a quick peek yesterday before you had to remove the images.
Gorgeous images and I could live, create and sleep happily in Suzan's house anytime!
Yes I know what you mean when you say you should stick to plants and your own photography especially when you posted the pics with the best of intentions.
Thank you for your gorgeous comments on my lacey quilt!
Hugs and happy digging,
Suzy x
wow....who knew?

Hu Carole I can imagine that must have beeen a shock to get that notice from the editor! Who wouldn't have thought I mean I see people showing magazine pages in their blogs all the time. Luckily I saw your pictures of the article already yesterday just had no time to comment that is why I came back today. I love Z's home and recognised it right away, it's a beautiful spread. Her little studio with all the storage is my fave too. I had a good laugh about the brightly colored quilt the photo stylist brought to her home though, it really so doesn't fit Z's beutiful low color style. I don't think I would be okay with a stylist bringing something in my home for a photoshoot that doesn't fit with my style and oh well I can so see Z protesting against it ;-)
Wishing you happy and warm Spring days between all your lovely flowers dear Carole
xoxo~ C.
Hi Carole...I got a peek yesterday at the photos before you had to delete them...they look great! Going to have to pick up a copy, thanks for the heads up!!
Have a wonderful day!!
Hi Carole,
Thanks for sharing and I will see if we can get this magazine here - have a feeling it is in our book store.
Happy Spring and hope you are enjoying pretty flowers there.
Hugs
Carolyn
Sounds like I need to look for a copy of that magazine. The cover has me itching to see what her house looks like.
Hi Carole,
I got the mag a few weeks ago...ran all over to find it. I love Z's home, could move right in.
Boy, mags can be quiet persnickedy!!! And so can be the stylists.
We had that happen a long time ago with a photo shoot. Horrible, VERY brigthly colored plastic flower pots with bright primroses in my kitchen. I argued until I was blue in the face, but noooooo. Well, the editors did not like it either, and came to reshoot it, ha ha. Had the last laugh. If I were to be in a mag again, I would put my foot down...you make rearange anything you want, but with my things. And by the way, please leave the flowers you brought. That is the least they can do, because the home owners are not getting paid. Heck, in my house they even took the handful of apples they used for styling. Yes, yes, it is an honor, but there are limits!!! At least with me.
Going to answer your e-mail tomorrow. Gosh, I am sooo far behind!!!!!
Don't work too hard sweetie, George too.
Lots of love,
Evi
