Our feathered friends at Christmas time

A little birdy love.

After seeing this adorable set of owls that Evi bought at Cathy's Open House I thought I should share some of my favorite birds around the shop. These of course are made with the most scrumptious fabrics of wool and mohair. We were all ouuuing and aaauuuing over how soft they were and petting them like they were our favorite kitty cat:))) So soft and yummy!

At her Open House she offers only one of a kinds handmade creations. It makes it so much fun to see what her imagination comes up with. I unfortunately couldn't make it in time but went over to Paula's to drool over all their goodies. So cute. I'm sure Laura will be able to show you all the lovely things in her blog as soon as she gets home. It was fun to see Laura and Evi though our visit was too short. Deanna showed up later who is like a one woman party herself. Boy can that girl make me laugh!!!!

We laughed so hard like us girls can......getting a bit silly at times. My cheeks hurt I was laughing so much. The boys sat in the other room quietly while we had a good old time!
Isn't that the best part of the holidays??? getting together with good friends?
I know your shaking your heads right now!!!

I digress!!!!

back to the birdies!

I hope you're all doing some "NESTING" at home these days but that you're also taking the time during this busy season to get together with good friends and enjoying all that the holidays has to offer.

Love all your bird 'tweets'(sorry, couldn't help myself!). The glass eggs are beautiful. So glad you had a good time with your friends. It is so special to take time from our 'busy' schedules this time of year to be with good friends. I just had a gathering of a group of 12 gals this past week, and it was so very much fun. We all love antiques, and get together every year and exchange gifts as well (I did a post about it as well). Have a great Sunday!

Hi Carole,
I love all of your little birds especially the two in the nest, the little nests with eggs and the glass eggs are wonderful.
I bet you had a brilliant time with Laura and your other friends. There is no better tonic than a good laugh, is there ?
My oldest friend whom I've known for over 40 years (!!), we can laugh for hours on end. We obviously knew each other when we were one !!!! Ha ha.
Have a happy Sunday Carole. XXXX

Really marvellous. I like a site called Wee Birdy in London...you can imagine what her favorite icon is...

On other note, Julie the Cat loves when I visit your site because of the pretty music. She just enjoyed Ave Maria. Thanks!

hi carole!
how sweet!! i love all the sweet little birdies and their nests and eggs. there is just something about those little creatures that just charms the pants off me! bird watching is a fave hobby around here for hubby and me. i have put abandoned nests on a branch by my front door and i noticed a little wren checking them out, as if to steal some material for his own nest. recycling, i guess! you are absotootly right about getting together with good friends...the best! i enjoyed seeing some of your shop on lauras blog...but of course want to see more! i hope your selling lots o goodies!
take care,
erin
