In the details

I couldn't help myself.
I just love to take close ups.

I know many of you have told me that I don't take enough pictures of wider views of the shop.

Without even realizing it I was doing it again.
Just getting the little details.

In my defense I am still having focusing problems with my camera
so seeing things up close I seem to have better luck.

After the holidays I have to have it looked at.....
and I'm sure cleaned.

One of the sweetest little angels. So petite and the last one went
out the other day.
Now why didn't I save one?

I wish I had my own tree at home finished but alas I seem to be behind again
this year.
The plan is to finish one tonight.....
and to have some of that wonderful wine Adrienne gave us today.

Thank you Adrienne!

Oh and I also want to bake Christmas cookies....

And send Christmas cards..... I bought new ones this year...
does that count?
yeah, I didn't think so....

and go Caroling....
no not really I can't hold a tune.
But I like the whole idea of it....
and if I went I would want to dress in period clothing.

I want to sit around all day and make homemade Christmas decorations.....
like I used to have time for.

I want to do a lot during the Christmas season.
Just never enough time.
It seems to come so fast.
Christmas is only 6 days away.

and Santa will be here, so I have to be good...

for goodness sakes!!!!!

So I'll stop complaining and count my blessings....
of which you are one of.

Hugs to you my friends,

Your close-ups are glorious Carole. I have tightly planned every day this week and have family arriving Friday and we are all cooking brunch on Sunday-a layed back southern brunch. I will have it all ready before we get up and pop it in the oven and then enjoy. I hope you get to do even a small portion of the items you mentioned. I know your shop brings much Christmas cheer to your customers. Happy Christmas

Such oretty images Carole!
I am not ready yet either. I will not get to many of those things like baking cookies, that I wanted to get to but that's ok!
I did order holiday photo cards online last night so maybe on Christmas Day I can sit back and write out my cards..... then I will have the time!

Enjoy.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I agree with all comments, it seems the Holidays are a lot of work for that one special day. I have tryed to do my decorating day to day starting after Thanksgiving. This year is different for us, we are using our family room for the first time in 27 years in our home, and I say I just love it. Take care Carole

Hi Carole, Your pictures are gorgeous. I'm amazed that you still have items in your shop and are not sold out yet. We don't have a single shop here that has nearly such a beautiful assortment of Christmas ornaments and other decorations.
Every year I think that I started early enough with the preparations but then time is running out and I haven't finished all the things I had planned to do. You have a very good excuse - I don't, LOL.
Have fun decorating your tree, my dear friend!
Big hugs,
Julia

Well I for one love your close ups.. I'm a detail girl myself and tend to do the same.. Your ornaments are so beautiful. if only I had a xmas tree I'd cover them with trinkets from you shop.. [fancy that.. a blogger without a tree!]

Remember to have fun this week.. and thanks for sharing all your lovely xmas wares for those that can't make it across the pacific ocean!!

Oh Carole I totally adore your close ups, one is more beautiful than the other and of course I had to pin some!
Why can't you just take the gorgeous tree out of your shop on Christmas eve and bring it in your home? ;-)
I finally have my tree up since Sunday, just got it feshly cut on Sunday. For German terms I'm very early with having the Christmas tree up one week before Christmas, so I could come over and help you tonight!
Oh well but since this isn't possible I just wish you good luck that you get it all done soon!
Carola xoxo~

Carole, I am just catching up on all the posts.
First of all, I am so happy that Bella is back. My goodness, where could she have been?
You know I love your shop and I think the clos-up pictures are perfect....of course, it makes me even more mad to see all the things I missed.
Do you remember that I bought the doll from Nicole that is in your first picture last year? Wait when you see her when you come...I dressed her in an antique doll dress, or did I have her already dressed last time you came? Things are becoming blurry....too much going on and not enough time.
Carol, I wish you and George a very Merry Christmas...see you on the 30Th.
Warm hugs, Evi

Well I for one will never complain that you take close-ups. I could look at your tight shots all day long. You take such amazing photos Carole!!!

Caroling would be a blast. I remember Landon's first Christmas found me spending it in the hospital with him while Dale was home with our other children. I still remember carolers all dressed up in period clothing came down the hall and into Landon's room and sang a couple of carols for me. I was so grateful for them and their song. It was the first Christmas I hadn't spent at home since I became a mother. No one was allowed to be in Landon's room except his parents so it was a lonely time, except for those wonderful carolers who were spending their Christmas brightening up all those who were spending theirs in the hospital. So I love carolers.
Wishing you a beautiful Christmas!!!
