Gift Show #2

I was going to wait to show this post but then it dawned on me that it was Sunday tomorrow.
Oh right!!! Silver Sunday.
These pictures just happen to have a whole bunch of silver....
the glittery kind, not the sterling silver kind!
I had the pictures already loaded.
This is the continuation of our buying trip at the NY gift show.
This is the more nautical section of this booth
with soft blues and of course shells.

I was so thrilled to find out that someone else had licensed
Nicol Sayre
and were doing a better job with it and at a better price.

Ok no silver here but who doesn't like ribbon?

This was a unique ribbon...burlap with bells either in rust or left naturally shiny. I ordered that
.  The ribbon photographer next to it was so bright red and green
I needed to make this a black and white picture.
The red and green felted ribbon
was a big hit in Atlanta from what the rep. told me but I didn't like it.
I heard that the whole time I was there.
"It sold great in Atlanta"
Yes, but does that mean it'll sell in conservative New England???

Not always!
I adored these little mannequins.
I got those too.

Now this stopped me in my tracks! Look at these can lights. So cute!
Would even look better rusty!
and this fridge!!!

Ok PINK and BLACK maybe not be your thing but
I thought it was adoreable.
Would I do it in my home?
No! but it was fun to see the originality of this line.

Now run to see the other participants of Silver Sunday
with our hostess Beth of Gypsy Fish Journals
I'll be off tomorrow shopping at the antique show in Naugatuck,Ct.
at the Naugatuck High School.

Debra of Capers of the Vintage Vixens will be there.
If your in the area stop by!!!

xo,
Carole

You're killing me here! You need to sell online. I'll take one of everything. I always loved Nicole Sayre and wondered what Midwest had done with her line. By the way, I love your new banner. Gorgeous.

And those dress forms...ugh....please sell online :) or I better find a way to come visit your store and plan for my return trip with a full trunk of things :) I think that might just send Chris over the edge...poor man...but think how happy I would be with all my pretties :)I can't wait to see pictures of the things that you ordered in your own store, you have a beautiful way of displaying and showcasing things! Fabulous Carole
I feel like I'm taking the tour of the gift show with your!! I love the blue and silvery christmas themes at the top... of course anything sea themed will always catch my attention and the mannequins and their brooches are really sweet too!!

The tin can lamps looks like a very Australian thing to do!! hahaha.. it the sort of thing you see here quite often.. I guess it speaks to our slightly offbeat and irreverent nature ... and you're right.. they would look better rusty.. love the fridge too, but the girl in the photo doesn't look so pleased about it!! You know I don't think we are allowed to take photos at our gift fairs.. I'll have to check it out.. I am SO pleased you did... these are great and I'm really looking forward to more..

Take care and have fun at the antique show .. you'll be all shopped out!! Is that possible? haha xxx Julie

More wonderful photographs of the Fair, Carole,
Like everyone else, I L-O-V-E those mannequins...they seem to be very popular. I bet the woman selling them did a roaring trade. I like the LOVE, PEACE and HOPE. Are they brooches as well ? Whatever they are, I like them !!!! ..... and the ribbon with the bells. I'd have some with rusty bells and some with silver !!
I'm sure that, what we've seen so far, is just the tip of the iceberg. I think that it woiuld take me about a month to see everything. I'd still be looking at the first stall!!
Have a lovely Sunday at the Anyique Show, and, don't buy too much. Remember, you've got to find somewhere to put it all !! XXXX

Beautiful pictures Carole. I love those burlap busts, and that burlap ribbon too, and I don't even own anything burlap (yet). I think those can lights would work great on a string on the patio too. I've used old cans to make lots of things, but this is a unique idea.
Blessings,
Marcia

Love these pictures, Carole!
...And those cans...wow! You're right, they would look good rusty. I probably would have expected to see a great big frosted pink cake in that awesome fridge, too :+D
Many moons ago I had a fridge like that...it was small, and so worn, you could see the aluminum through the paint, and the door was so heavy. Back then I didn't like it.
Crazy, huh?
Enjoy your break ~

Again, jealousy reigns. Great stuff ~ too much to take in all at once ~ its like glitter overload ~ I would have been hyperventilating into my glittered paperbag! I need to take a trip to Old Saybrook and pop into your shop soon to say "hi". I hope the Anique Show was great. I wanted to go but had a houseful of football crazies to entertain.
