Like a Spring day!

Welcome to White Wednesday
I thought I'd take a break from showing you pictures of my trip from the
NY Gift Show.......to share a little bit of nature and spring
at my friend Paula's house.
It's always like a clear and sunny Spring day at Paula's house.

This Ivy has been growing content here for years now. Once a week she stands up on her antique sideboard and waters it. Seems happy there!

The little crocheted rolled shade pull is part of the treasures we bought at the Naugatuck Antique show
we went to on Sunday. I'll show you those in another post.
Debra from Capers of the Vintage Vixens and her lovely daughter Nicole were there
with the best booth. I knew it was her's right away
just from the way it was so stylishly arranged.
She is just as cute and sweet in person as she
 is on her blog.
Tweety birds everywhere.

That's the only kind of twittering I do.

Do you Tweet????

I don't really understand twittering! is it fun???
Well, 4 years ago I never heard of a blog either!
and here I am blogging!
and addicted!

A small paper chair from Wendy Addison
with a metal bird resting under a dome. I was so thrilled when Midwest started doing these....I remember seeing her originals at
Tinsel Trading. She had so many different styles....maybe they'll introduce more if they sell well.

This paperdoll Paula made after seeing this in a magazine. One of the many magazines
that Laura had waiting for us to peruse during our stay this fall at
her adorable lakehouse.
Good for Paula to remember what she saw.
Both Laura and Paula inspire me greatly.

Do you have friends in your life
that always inspire you???

I love the look of your friend's Spring decorating! My idea of "tweeting" is just as yours! But, who knows, maybe we will grow and learn as we did with blogging!

Well Dear Carole
I was going to say I wish I had friends live Paula and Evi living near by.. but in fact the friend that inspires me is You and Laura!! and lots of other blog friends too.. I wish I lived near you.. I'm sure we'd laugh and giggle all day and never get anything done!! Love all your photography as usual and tell Paula if she wants a new best friend.. i'm just over here!! hahaha ..

Don't think i am up for twitter.... it seems senseless, but then as you say.. actually only just over 1 year ago ... I had never heard of a blog... so.. .you never know if you never go!!... still.. blogging takes enough time.. Well I think I need to get crafty...I've had an idea since well before xmas and have done nothing about it..

Take care Carole... and enjoy the rest of your week xx Julie

Well Carole YOU inspire me! Paula's house is so full of joy. You can a lot about a person by how she decorates her spaces. I can tell from these photos(and beautiful they are) that Paula is a happy and contented woman. So full of delightful surprises.
I don't tweet...are you kidding! It takes me an hour to put together a decent post, so I would say that I can barely blog. Can you believe that I still don't text either. I know, I'm a dinasaur.
You always have such lovely posts Carole.

Hi there Carole,
Well, as usual, Julie has said everything that I wanted to say !!!! She keeps beating me to it !! haha.
First of all, I LOVE your friend Paula's house. Its full of individuality. I can see why she inspires you. I thought that I was going to be really clever and say that, Yes, I do have a friend that influences me...YOU.....and, every comment above mine has said the same thing !! So much for originality !! ......
.... I love the paper bird and the paper doll. Paula was clever to remember it from a magazine.
I don't tweet. As everyone has said (again, before me !!) I find it a bit pointless to tell people that I have just finished my dinner and that I am now going to the toilet!!....blogging is hard enough.
Wonderful photographs Carole and a lovely look at Paula's home. XXXX

Hi Carole
Love your friends style...folkart meets white country, nice to have a friend that inspires. I have a couple of shop friends around here that are inspirational but no homey friends :)
I used to but no longer...sad isn't it.
Between the shop and my kids and grandkids I keep busy.
Thanks for sharing... meanwhile I will live through my bloggy friends, lol
Blessings

Carole, your photos are wonderful, as always, and I just love the birdies and nests. So have you decided to sell on line yet? You know you would have tons of us lining up. Charge whatever, I just want to buy some of the things that you show, they are nowhere to be found around here! And thank you for the wonderful comment, it blesses me, especially coming from someone as talented as you. OK, no more gushing. Your friends home is just so lovely!

Debra
