I've been sitting here trying to come up with the first line to write.
Well I guess I just did:)
Not what I had intended but it's a start.
Every year at Christmas time I struggle with putting up posts so I decided a few months ago that I would post one photo a day.
I thought....
I should be able to accomplish that at least.
Do you know how hard it is to pick only
1 photo???
What had seemed to be so easy is turning out much harder
then I thought.
We'll give this a try and see how it goes.
Day 1 for now.
Do you have your Christmas decorations up already???
I still haven't put away all of my Halloween decorations at home:)
That's bad huh?
Maybe after this weekend I'll tackle it.
Hugs

I was putting pumpkins in a cabinet today and our tree will not go up until next weekend. I have done two Christmas posts but they were connected with stuff apart form our house. They were of vignettes from a store where I sell some things. They decorated early. I would have trouble posting one photo too because I have a lot usually.
Not only have I started putting up the Christmas as you have seen, but I too still have a few lingering Halloween pieces that have yet to be put away and I have my Fall corn stalks in the dinningroom. I guess you could say it is really festive around here.
I get so excited to bring out our Christmas decorations each year but we always wait until the day after Thanksgiving!
Done.
Don't hate me.
lolol!

Put away my fall? Heck..I never got it out! I'm hoping to start on Christmas next weekend...we'll see.
Just as I can never write in 500 words or less...I doubt if I could do only one photo either! I'm such a blowhard!
I'll be watching to see if you can what I can't.
Deb
With your Thanksgiving holiday this week it must be difficult to jump ahead to Christmas but I'm sure that a pic a day will be perfect.
The mags arrived safe and sound, they are beautiful.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Carole and thankyou so much.

A picture a day, good luck with that! LOL! I couldn't put up just one picture either.
I've been thinking about decorating but won't start until the week-end after Christmas. Yesterday I was actually looking at a new Christmas tree. The one we have (faux)is only 4 years old but it's a monster and most of the lights don't work. The one I'm looking at buying is a skinny tree! My daughter was mortified. LOL!!!
Hi Carole,
I am sure that you will be able to manage it. I think it's a great idea actually. One beautiful photo a day up until Christmas. It's about the same as me posting a zillion photos once a week !!!!
We don't even begin to think about Christmas decorations until the second week of December when 'that' time comes to choose the Christmas tree and only fresh will do.
Oh, and by the way, many thanks for your lovely email about my photos.....you are way too flattering !! Will email soon.
Enjoy your Christmas preparations. XXXX
I love this idea! I have a hard time following through on something everyday but I look forward to seeing a beautiful photo from you everyday! No decorations up yet... little by little I will bring some out and then waalaa! Happy Sunday! t.xoxo
Does it count that I opened the window seat and looked at what's in there? I found treasures I had forgotten. I did put a pillow with bears in a chair. The dog refuses to pose in a Santa hat.
Hi Carole- this is just a wonderful idea-- I think you are off to a great start with this lovely photo. I'll be looking forward to all the rest. And- yes- I think that choosing 1 picture would be miserable hard--- obviously I could never be able to do that-- I'm the queen of way too long blog posts!

I was feeling very proud of myself that I got the Halloween decorations put away. I will leave fall decorations up till after Thanksgiving and that's when I start decorating for Christmas.
Next week...that's what I'm telling myself, anyway. Spent the day yesterday, among creative friends, in Z's Christmas Palooza...boy, do I feel like a loser after leaving there! It's a veritable Christmas Festival everywhere you look! Happy Sunday, Carole...the backing went on the tintype yesterday.
Carole, that is much--at least for me- I would never accomplishe that, here before christmas, as I have so many things to do: like sewing for my shop and all the shows- being in the shop, when costumers-( now and then) arrive- decorating the shop-(finished) and on it goes--not much time for blogging- --that`s why I have not visited you a few times!!!!
I wish you luck -and will look forward seing your beautiful photoes.
Hugs,Dorthe
..and I saw your beautiful pendant yesterday. They are all so beautiful, pictures could never do them justice but I am going to try soon.
I am going to call my house Christmas Palooza from now on instead of my son's favorite. "Where Christmas came and threw up.."
I respect your one photo per day, but you know to me that is slow torture. I want to see EVERYTHING and right now!!! I will be good however and treat this like an advent. One small gift to open each day.

I did a photo per day in August, and it was a wonderful challenge. It became so much easier to post and get a point across, with only one snapshot of the story to work with. Think how many moments we live every day. One photo per day is just a long string of daily moments. Once you get used to it, I think you will like it.
Beautiful!
I love this idea Carole...I might borrow it when it gets crazy around here!!
I just came over from Suzan's blog where she said you would be teasing us with photos. lol I for one am going to feel very cheated to only see 'one' photo at a time since you take the most beautiful photos. But that's just me:)Good luck with that. I couldn't do it and I don't even take very good pictures. Laura (52 Flea) posted like 40 yesterday and I enjoyed every single one! I didn't even know you could post that many at one time. Hmmmmmmmmmm

Hope you have a good season, C!
No, no Christmas deco yet. I didn't really do much for Tgiving as we are not hosting. I will start Cmas next weekend though. Hope the weather stays mild so I don't freeze putting up the outside decorations!
Happy Thanksgiving!
