Devotion

One of the last Sunday mornings I’ll get to stay home after we reopen next weekend.
I was so happy to get to watch one of my favorite shows.
oh and to make carrot soup for lunch.
I was so touched by the love and devotion of these two animals.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did….
bittersweet as it is.

(Hey Erin, btw this sanctuary is in your back yard south of Nashville)
Hope your Sunday is a good one.
Carole

Oh how sad : (

Maybe one day she will find another dog to bond with. Poor Tara, her heart is so broken. At least she knew Bella had passed away though. They say that is important for animals who are bonded. Maybe especially so for an elephant who is so very smart.

Ahwwww Carole,
That's so sad. They were such good friends. Lets hope that Tara can find another friend, although no-one will replace Bella. I'm sure that it was Tara who picked Bella up and tried to get her home.
Although it's sad, it's a lovely story of friendship. XXXX

As I'm trying to find the keyboard through misty eyes...this is why I love animals more than people, most times! Happy Sunday, Carole - Tanya

Animal friendships can be so amazing. First I had goosebumps and now I have some tears in my eyes. What a sweet but also so sad story. Poor Tara!
I'm looking forward again to seeing your Christmas shop :-).

I remember seeing the original story when it first aired. How sad for Tara, she's lost a good friend. It's nice, though, how the other elephants are trying to help her ...

Hi Carole,

Have seen this very moving story before, so sad, but wonderful, of the friendship for two unlikely animals.
Have fun with the reopening of you shop.

Hugs
Carolyn

Hello Carole! I just wanted to thank you so much for sending the Jeanne D'Arc Living magazine so quickly. It arrived last week, and I am devouring it.
You wrapped it so well, I almost couldn't open it!
Thank you,
Susan

hi carole...just finally catching up with some missed posts and i see my name...i am familiar with this sanctuary and this story, and as i sit here in bed, now with the flu, viewing it yet again...i am more moved than ever. i understand what it is like to have a best friend...mine of 32 years, was here to visit me from chicago and has gone home....and we are missing each other....true friendships go deep and this beautiful elephant and her doggie companion had a special bond. it is such a sad story and yet so hopeful......true love can be found in unusual pairings.

Aww...gee. That was really sad.
Maybe we could get Tara another puppy someday and she would love that one too.
Thank you for sending Evi's bday present and for the card! You know I love that JDL magazine!
Hope to visit soon.
Laura :)
