Barn Love

Is there anything more beautiful then an old barn????
I knew you'd say that so
here are a few to enjoy.

This is one near where we live and some of you might
remember me showing this
one before during a snow storm last Winter.
The biggest one we had that year.
We really didn't have that bad a winter...just more snow then normal.
Some parts of the country really saw some incredibly cold temperatures and
some saw the "white stuff" for the first time in a long time.

I'm getting a little off subject huh????
That's so unlike me:))

This one isn't old but it sure is pretty!!
Oh of course it's prestine....it's in the town of Guilford voted most
picturesque town on New England
by some magazine????

With a few barns come a few chickens,
These are George's uncle Ledge's chickens who lives across the street from
our greenhouses.

They used to wonder across to our side years ago but not so much anymore.
Just as well they don't cross the road.
Too dangerous for them....crazy drivers on the road!
so we go visit them instead.

This was barn we saw when we went to Madison Bouckville last year when
we stayed with Laura at her fabulous lakehouse last Fall.
Boy talk about farm country.
There were barns everywhere but we were focused on
JUNKING!!!
To see more barns

oh carole... these are just beautiful!! the first one is my favorite with all the snow surrounding, like julie said "magical"...it looks like a lovely Christmas card! i was thinking of joining this barn party, but alas, it has been way too hot to venture out of doors to take pictures, or do anything else. i might have to start excercising inside like you and george! take care,
erin

Hey Carole...love this post. I'm crazy over barns also! I have a folder full of pics with the intention of someday painting a barn...white, of course! It's just been so long since I've painted anything, but I want it to be quite primitive anyway. This just might be my inspiration!
Have a great weekend,
Susie

Hello Carole!
Oh how I LOVE old barns. You've got some beauties up where you live and LOTS of them so no shortage of photo shoots for you...lucky woman! We just lost our barn to fire a week ago..we had two fires actually ..one on Wed and then Friday it burned to the ground. I did a few posts on it...I shed a few tears. Oh well...this has made me more determined to go around and take pictures of the few nice ones we have around here before something happens to them too. Thank you for sharing these with us. One question...how did you get the pictures to look like that? What program do you use? Have a wonderful day....Maura :)

Hi Carole,
I just LOVE these barns. They just say AMERICA to me and are so different from our barns. The first one is so beautiful and has such atmosphere. I think that you should use it as your Christmas cards this year (and send me one !!!! hehe). I love the chickens too. Do you ever get the eggs from them,as they are George's uncle's ?
Have a lovely weekend Carole. XXXX

Carole,
I love what you've done to your photos, they are beautiful. Beautiful subjects that you've embelished on and made even more wonderful. And of course, this makes me want to go to the West Coast even more..I haven't been farther than Minnesota (from Washington).

Love your barn pics, Carole! I found you by linking through several blogs that had nothing to do with the Barn Chicks party. I've been visiting the participants of that party, but had not gotten to your link. Yet, here I am, looking at your Barn Chicks party pics. LOL

I just joined you as a follower. Hope you'll come visit some time.

Blessings,
