Ok kinda weird White Wednesday!

This week with having to get so much done getting ready for Christmas I thought I would skip White Wednesday. It wasn't until I was looking for a website on my favorites list that I came across a site I hadn't looked at in months. Waiter Rant! I don't even remember how I originally found it but from the moment I read it I was hooked. It's a pretty famous blog but he started off like the rest of us just writing about his life working in a restaurant in NYC. Granted he didn't hold back...nothing is sacred. I'd worked in the restaurant business for years and my parents had been in the business. You don't need to have worked in a restaurant to enjoy it just being a patron is all it takes to open your eyes to the goings on in this world.
I came upon a post where I couldn't believe my eyes!!!
Hey.... and look it's WHITE

Read the story here!

and then go and visit the folks at Kathleen's at Faded Charm that did what they were suppose to do and show you beautiful white interiors.
Forgive me!!!
XO

AH-MA-ZING! Just goes to show that money can't buy brains. And it was a six-person check! They were getting too tanked to even enjoy the outrageously expensive bottles they were ordering.

I cooked in restaurants for years, so I so love this Waiter Rant blog! Thanks so much for sharing this, Carole!

That was one nice tip! I read the story about how they had to divide it between 15 people, but what I find interesting is that at the bottom, it says 6 customers!

Crikey Carole, that's some bill.....it's a little obscene as well. I guess, if you've got it, you've got it but, when you think just what you could do with that money.
I wish that I'd been there..... actually, I wish that I was his friend !!!! XXXX

It's all utterly ridiculous (the prices), but I keep going back to $12 for one large water??? I'd drink out of the loo before I'd pay that!!!
Funny stuff, I think I'll be adding that site to my faves!

Why does that make me a little crazy? Maybe because I'm having to lay off people who earn that much in an entire year! Sorry, as Jackie says it seems obscene to spend that kind of money in times like these...As for that site...it is very funny but makes me a little anxious about future restaurant visits!

Ouch :) I don't drink, but I just discovered a Patron margarita and let me tell you I LIKED it lol and at $15 for 1 margarita, I thought that was too much so I sipped (hogged) my husbands. I guess I better stop trying good spirits, I think I would rather have my house lol

When you get a moment because I know you are REALLY busy right now, come visit me, I have an award for you, if you would like it :) besos, Rose

Hi Carole
Sitting here eating and looking at the web... I do that a lot - eat and blog - I call it multi-tasking.
I read the blog... I wonder how many Thanksgiving dinners that would have bought for those that can't... and maybe they donate a bunch to that cause, who knows... it just baffles me how someone could spend that kind of money on a dinner! The tip was cool though :)
Have fun pricing...yuk my least favorite thing to do.
Blessings
Rebecca

Hi Carol,
We have Nello here in Southampton..
People go just to say they have been there..
My dad owned a restaurant, it is now Paddy McGees in Island Park, NY.
I did catering on the side for years..
I have to go check that blog..
You can be sure I will never eat at Nello!

Hi Carole,
I took my previous comment off and sending you the new and improved. Don't you hate name droppers?! I do! Didn't mean to be one. Seriously this tab is crazy!

June
