Flea Market Days

Finally my first fleamarket outing this morning!!!

What a crisp sunshiny day it was.
I guess everyone had the same idea for Labor Day weekend
because the place was packed.
My shopping partner was Deanna from Gather
of Ivoryton, Ct.
Having been there many times she's an old pro
as to where to hit the "good" places.

Now this cute little piece caught my eye but it was early in
my search so I figured I didn't want to rush into it.
The price wasn't too bad but I wasn't loving the dark green paint.
So I kept going. By the time I came back around
it had sold.

I guess I learned my lesson.

You snooze...
you lose!
I convinced myself that I really didn't want to have to paint over
the green paint......right??

Christmas right around the corner. I wasn't quite ready to look at
Christmas items ( on a warm sunny day)
so I just snapped a picture, thanked the nice vendor
and walked away.
She said I was the second person that had taken
a picture of them.

Deanna's haul. We always comment how different our  color palettes is.
Her's dark and more jeweled toned.

I do love these baskets and suitcase.

See left side silver tones and white.....right side dark and warm tones.

We both bought bolts of fabric.
I had to give her a little nudge to buy these but they were so her.
The quality was there and the price was right.
Mine were.....
you guessed it.
White and light!

We also ran into Debra of
while we were there.
Deanna nicely took a picture of
the two of us.
I was actually going to show you.
I know,
what a tease I am but
I looked like I had 3 chins and the other my eyes were closed.
Vanity is a hard pill to swallow.
Ugggh!!
sorry Debra, you were adorable as always.

I'll share my booty on the next post.

and soon Brimfield starting this Tuesday!

Sorry I couldn't be with you girls...it sure looks like it was a perfect day and that you found lots of goodies! Still hoping to make a day trip to Brim...maybe Thursday? Will let you know! Now, show us your booty!

That looks like such a fun day! What great weather for it too.

I must be somewhat in the middle of the color palette because I want Deanna's baskets and your white stool and galvanized can. More than that, I want a cool flea market close by, not 4 hours away...... : (

So happy you got out and about.

It was so fun to see you again, Carole. I'll bet I had the 3 chins lol. I put the chippy white bench in the garden that we just replanted. I love it there. I will have to post it. See you in Brimfield:)

That fan is full of goodies! What fun. Why do photos always have three chins? Mine are the same. Joe was taking photos of me in the hammock and they were horrid. I liked the green box but I realize white is your palette. We have awful fleas here. You are blessed in your location. hugs♥olive

Hi Carole! Oh, it looks like you and Deanna had such a great time! You two remind me of Debbie from House at the Lake and me when we were treasure hunting a couple weeks ago. It's so much fun to go with a junking bud! OUR problem is, however, we like the exact same things. So guess what happened over and over again? We would race to the same treasure to grab it first! lol! We're going again at the end of the month, and I can hardly wait! :) Thanks for sharing your fun trip! Looks like you had a great haul, friend!

what a load of fun.
but hey,
it is a good thing that you both have different tastes.
imagine if you guys wanted the same thing and were bidding against one another.
no fun.

Isn't it great to shop with a friend Carole? Especially one that has a little different taste than you do! I get as excited about my freinds' purchases, as I do about my own. I love to see what thrills others and what they choose to live with. I sure would have loved to see the picture of you and Debra, but I don't like to post photos of myself either. I always find something to fault about myself. LOL
I don't know if I have told you lately about how much I love your photogrphy...but I just love it. Your post on 'NEST' was full of gorgeous pictures. What an awesome store.
Hugs to you...
