Black and White Sunday Part 1

Climbing Iceberg Roses

Iris growing in the weeds along the road by Uncle Ledge's Pond

Hydrangea Shamrock

Brugmansia

Coreopsis "Salsa Jive" only an annual in these parts. White with dark burgundy center. Absolutely gorgeous. So glad I took a picture before they all sold out.

Supertunia silverberry. Talk about an agressive petunia. This basket had verbena and bacopa in it but all you see now is the petunia.

Cerastium " snow in summer"

Viburnum "Wentworth"
I know it looks like a lacecap hydrangea!!!

Last week after deadheading the roses. Some were still so nice yet had to be cut so before they went in the compost bucket I gathered the best ones and gave them one last chance to "Shine" and show off.

My little pensive child. I love the way he has his hand on his cheek.....but now that I look at it???.....it looks like he's on his cell phone. Well that's not very romantic.......unless his talking to his sweetie. lol
Peony

Dicentra "Luxuriant" short, blooms in the summer and keeps it's fern like foliage unlike spectabilis ( old fashion type)~ wonderful plant for the shade. And last but not least Wiegela " Variegata" growing in the garden at the greenhouse. Light pink flowers......very showy and once it's done flowering the variegated leaves still shine through.
Have a great Sunday!!!!
Carole

Hello Carole
So pleased to be able to catch up with your blog again! 3 weeks is a long time without a computer... Your previous postis of great inspiration to me and when I read it and saw the pictures I said: Yes that's it! You see the wysteria that grew against the house died this winter and I have been trying to decide on what I should plant to replace it. Climbing Hydrangea it is! So thank you Carole. Decision finally made. Paula's house looks beautiful... I like your black and white photos, very artistic!
Take care
