This song has been resonating in my head today( maybe because George was playing it when I came downstairs this morning) I thought you might like to click on it while viewing the photos. They are all from our little town of Old Saybrook.
We came thru Sandy very well only minor damage. We don't live far from Long Island sound but not close enough to get flooded. I hadn't been able to write a post until now, not because of lack of power. We only lost it at home for a day and not at all at the work. I just couldn't take my mind off the people who have lost so much especially the ones in and around NYC and Jersey coastline. I know you have heard it all on the news and seen it on TVso I won't repeat it. Lets just say it's overwhelming and heartbreaking X 100. I wish so much I could go there and help. Makes me want to not open the shop and go and see what I can do. Puts everything in a different light. Things that you thought were so important now seem silly.
I've been thinking a lot about our lives and wanting to make changes. Simplify. I thought I had been doing that little by little but I want to even more. I'm not even sure how to do more....or should I say less. It's funny where life takes you. You wonder how you got there. Is it where you want to be?
Well for now I have to get back to work......
see what I mean:)
Miss you all and sorry for my lack of visits
