Isn’t that a cute name???

I have always loved this booth and admired their work.

I finally decided it was time to buy something from them. 

I bought some charms and a few pieces of jewelry.

What I really love are their bottles filled with the most

 charming little pieces.

Some are little people(elves) sometimes just vintage this and that.

I didn’t take any close up since they were generous enough to let me take photos at all.

Of course the whole time my camera was being a bad girl

 and not auto focusing.

Are you getting bored with that excuse….. I am, but it’s true.

I looked into getting it fixed but its not worth it. I might as well get another camera which I’ve wanted for over a yr now.

It does auto focus half the time just not when I really need it to.

So long story, I’m sorry if these are a bit blurry.

What I was saying before I went on about my camera is I adore their bottles

but they are pricey and as

much as I think everyone would notice them and love them as much as I do

I don’t think my most customers would spend the money.

I hate when that happens  ‘,-(

You love it and you know it fits your look but it’s overpriced.

You sit on it forever to just have to give it away later.

If you could just buy anything you want and not have to worry about price

point being a shop owner would be so much easier.

I know most of my blog friends understand this so I’m not letting you in on anything new.

Just saying…..

Now this was a new line that I’d never seen before.

(again sorry for the blur)

Headbands made with galvanized wire from a gal in California.

I thought it was really different and very feminine.

The only really random shot I took.  It was opposite the booth I had bought from and just

took a chance that no one would yell at me.

I never told you but I did get yelled at once by a vendor.

Gosh it was embarrassing. It wasn’t even his booth but he came right up to me and said I needed

to delete the photos or he would call security.

I was only taking it because I didn’t want to forget

 to go back the next day.

I think he was mad because I wasn’t taking a photo of his ( not so fantastic) booth.

Just saying……

I did buy from this booth…..thank goodness!

so they were happy to let me snap away.

As a matter of fact the more photos I took the more I was buying.

I thought I was done but they were happy to keep adding to the order.

I have to say that every sales rep was super nice.

Very appreciative to have me stop to place an order.

I don’t expect to have them say anything but it was still nice to hear.

Great use for old wood for making small bookshelves.

They look like old pallets.

Now these of course are pallets cut in half. They make great open drawers. I remember seeing

them using this last year and keeping there order forms in them.

You never know where you’ll find inspirations?

Succulents and a little something for me

I don’t know how you feel about succulents but in the last couple of years I

have really gotten to love them.

(These were from a vendor at the Old Saybrook Art and Craft Fair last week)

 

Maybe it’s the ease in growing them?

and of course they don’t require as much watering….

and that’s always a good thing.

Oh except these are ferns.

They may lack flowers but the colors make up for it.

Ferns make a nice addition to these troughs too.

                                              

                                                      

                                                                                       

I spent most of my time photographing things that

I didn’t leave a lot of time for shopping

but I did manage to find this little necklace.

The top is from a real acorn attached  to a handmade bead.

While I was retrieving the website of the vendor I bought

this from I noticed the links weren’t  working right,

so I went back and fixed them.

The price was reasonable at $15.

I thought.

The necklace looks petite next to the hydrangea flower but it’s a variety

called “ The Swan”  which gets the biggest blooms I've ever seen.

It gets it’s name from the way it grows.

Starts off like an ugly duckling and

matures into a.......yes you guessed it

 beautiful Swan.

It had just rained a few minutes before and with it came a cool breeze.

Ahh so nice after all this heat we’ve been getting.

While I’m on the subject I thought I  would show you a print I bought on one of my

other trips to the craft fair.

It’s a Giclee Art Print. From the word “squirt” in french.

If you’re interesting in how it’s done you can read about it and the artist below.

I just know that it spoke to me the moment I saw it

…..and isn’t that what Art is supposed to do?

I’m a little behind on framing it but I’ve been painting a lot of frames as of late…..

so I should be able to get to that soon.

Waiting for the rain to come…….

skies are getting dark and rumbling in the distance.

Hopefully this will cool things off a bit.

What’s the date?

Spring seems to go by so quickly. First day of Summer is Tuesday the 21st and soon

all the kiddies will be home, the beaches will be full and the temps will be

hot hot hot!

It’s been a challenging season with the weather and all the rain and winds

we’ve been getting. I think we did manage to have 2 weeks of sunny days in a row.

…… it’s raining and thundering out right now.

The roses have taken a beating but we got a handle on it now and they’re beautiful again.

It’s a good thing I don’t mind cleaning them and George stays on top of the spraying.

I love seeing all the roses that people have in blogland and often wonder how they

feel about all the maintenance.

Topic for another time.

Gee I was going to tell you the name of this rose but it escapes me now and I don’t feel like going outside and getting wet.

Oh wait just remembered.

Ebb tide!

so there you go.

And you thought I knew what I was going to write about.

Nope, just let it happen as it comes…..

I overthink things enough during the day…..

I really don’t want to when I’m blogging.

Is that bad?

I do find myself writing posts in my head while working that never end up being written.

 In my head they sound pretty good.

Some may actually be but many I think are subjects that I never feel comfortable writing about.

Does that happen to you?

You come to your senses and think why I’m I going to write about that???

Everyone will think you’re nuts!

or worse hate you! ok hate is a strong word.

Ok changing subject…..

I have the attention of a gnat sometimes…..

but this next picture is of foliage and you know how much I love me foliage!

I noticed a lot of people doing their pots with just that this year.

I’ve used a lot more succulents this year and had intended on showing you more pots that I had made up but they

sold quickly and never got many pics of them.

This was my crown one with hens and chicks.

Someone asked me if it was a religious thing?

no just something different.

Little Fifi looking so angelic with eyes the color of those hydrangeas.

A few seconds later she was breaking apart that hydrangea

and throwing it at her twin sister. Too cute!

I love when they come by with their parents.

George turns into a little kid again and becomes a human jungle jim.
