4 months can fly by fast

Just do it! Get it? Hat with Nike logo... come on do a post for pete's sake. 4 months without a word is not what I intended to do. A bit of advice when you "do it" you might want to wash your hands first not like me with dirt under your fingernails.  I hope you've all been well. I have only peaked in on you now and then. It's amazing how much you can get done when you pull yourself away from the computer. I still have my Instagram but it takes very little time and effort. Still not a big fan of facebook and I'm not a tweeter.

I did garden more this summer which I really enjoyed. I had cleared out the home garden a lot a couple of years ago with plans of changing things around. Suddenly this year things started to come back. I thought well I'll leave it for now and see what happens and then I'll get rid of it. It was mostly different colored phlox and black eyed susan's. It was a pleasant surprise and I think I am going to keep most of it. I still have some work to do on it. As a matter of fact I have a truck load of compost to unload tomorrow morning before I head to Brimfield. I was going to go today but I woke up too late. I'm hoping to find some industrial pieces. We'll see what I come up with. I might do a post of what I see but will definitely share on Instagram. George is quite the dragonfly rustler. He loves rescuing them when they get stuck in the greenhouse. Did you know they can bite?  He calls me over every time he catches one. I think they're very cool but I'm not holding one. It's still a bug to me.  Ok off to bed .......going to dream of vintage loveliness.

Bonne Nuit!

Where does the time go? Beautiful photos of your blooms.

I was so glad to see your post because it reminded me to order my copy of JDL from you, but was too late again this month as I see you are sold out:-( Too much on my plate lately to remember it all, I guess!

Hi Carole, I've thought quite often about you but I was so very lazy writing emails. It's great that you got to play in your home garden a bit. The dragonfly looks gorgeous. Those delicate wings always excite me. Your picture of the dahlias, tomatos and apricots is captivating. The colors are so vibrant.
Have lots of fun in Brimfield. I wish I could come with you. I saw your industrial pins and love that style too. Good luck finding some cool pieces!
Hugs,
Julia

Hello my dear Carole,- and thanks for your answer,- I was a bit scared something was not right, so I`m happy to see you was "only" very bussy...
I know I should maybe also neclect my blog an fb a little more, to get other things done, but I feel like relaxing sitting here :-)
So very good to see you here and your amazing photoes, from the garden--the one with the Dahlias and tomatoes is stunning!!
I hope you will be back, and not only on Instagram- as I´m not there !!
The dragonfly is the most beautiful insect I think,- and what a marvelous photo you captured while George holding it !!
Hugs and love here from Denmark and from me- Dorthe

I am with you on Facebook-not a fan at all. Love IG though. Glad to see you and the garden here today. This is the first year I have seen dragonflies here. Maybe because we had sixty some odd inches of rain this summer.

Hey Girl...
Hard to blog these days... not quite sure why, maybe I have run out of things to say and it does take time. Glad to see you, but I have to admit I don't get around much anymore... ha I think I feel a song coming on.
Your garden is wonderful but I wouldn't expect any less. I love the dragon fly, he looks big! And I didn't know they bit... hard?
I was holding a cicada the other day and he did poke me with his straw like mouth. It surprised me.
Hope this finds you well
Blessings
