What's up

Well I've been up since 4 after having fallen asleep on the couch....
Petey is sleeping there now.
We vowed we wouldn't let him ever get on the couch which he did on the first day home.

What can I say he's just looks so cute and he's good.... only gets on the throw.....which is white just like him....
well mostly him except for his black spots.

Ok before I just keep rambling on I need to thank everyone of you that commented on
my last post.
Thank you for being there for me and making me feel like I'm not the only one.
I think I was having a mental blog break down of sorts.
The combination of not feeling 100% and working every day for months........ but I'm feeling better....
and things are not as crazy as they were, though
I could do without the heatwave.
I'm sure you too.
I realize now that I need to take it easy on myself and not worry
so much if I can't keep up with my blog life.
My real life suffers for it and so do the people around me....well ok maybe mostly George, our pets and I suppose my customers for not having what they want, when they want it...
of course who can really figure out what that is ??.....
you know the crystal ball thing.

Yeah we could all use one of those.

I've also figured out that I want to just post things
organically as they happen and not over think it so much.
Sometimes thinking is overrated.
at least for me:)

taken with my iphone by G and using camera awesome app.

A customer sent me these 2 photos today after she was talking to George about the baby birds in her birdhouse.
I didn't know George had given her our email so I was so thrilled last night to receive them.

I don't think she'd mind me sharing.

Aren't they adorable peaking out the hole?

And of course a photo of her clematis growing on her fence and shepards hook. I have two growing on my shepards hook that I thought were goners since I had ripped out so much last year in the attempt of taming the wildness that had become my garden. The photos are still in my camera so I'll have to share those later.

Thanks again for being such great friends and for stopping by.

Stay cool out there!!!!!

Carole-- Petey is so cute I'd have to let him sleep on the couch!!
Your thoughts on blogging ring true with me too- sometimes I only post twice a month- I know some people post twice a week- maybe more--- I'm thinking they have way more time in their lives than I do. Family first-- blog in between times--

Love you-
Vicki

Dear Carole,
Your Petey really looks a softy and I should think that he always gets his own way when he looks at you like that !!!! If he were mine, I would let him do anything !!
I'm glad that things are calming down at work for you both. It must be so hectic at the height of the season.
Love all of your photographs and that clematis looks so lovely. We bought an arch with gates at Chelsea and I'm tinkling of growing a white clematis over it ..... are there any white evergreen clematis .... any suggestions would be most welcome !! I have seen one called ' Clematis Flammula' that sounds good. Have you heard of it ?
We are having a terrible Summer and wish that we had a bit of your heatwave !!
Keep well Carole ..... much love. XXXX

How cute is Petey! We also didn't want our Lab, Maggie to sleep in our bed at night. But 7 years later we love her to much to kick her out. These are the things we just have to live with, not to bad if you ask me. The weather in San Diego is 80. Just right. Sorry it's so hot there. Loved hearing from you. Love the clematis too! Very pretty...

It looks like you could have my dogs brother or sister. Is that an American Pit? My Jake, A Junk Yard Dog, does love a soft cushion, pillow or cover. He is so darn cute and loveable I can't deny him. Unlike me it takes so little to keep him happy.
Keep up the posting, they are always enjoyed by many. Thanks for sharing, Kathy

Hi Carole,

Take it easy my dear. It sounds as if you need to slow down a bit. I think its catching. I am suffering from a bit of this myself. We all lead such busy lives, and put such pressure on ourselves. Enjoy your East Coast summer(in spite of the heat). Fondly, Marjorie

It's good to hear that you are feeling better, girl. Petey is a cutie and I assume that most pet owners have the problem that they can't hold on to their resolutions not to let the pet onto the couch, into bed etc. When we go Cecil, I was sure, I would never let him into the bed. Guess where he sleeps most of the nights, lol.
The picture of the baby birds is very cute which leads me to some other babies that soon will be delivered. The new kittie is pregnant. She was in heat just shortly after she appeared on our door step for the first time. So there was no chance for us to get her spayed and obviously she just didn't listen when I told her about the facts of life, lol. We certainly make sure that the little ones get spayed in time.
I hope the temperatures will cool down for you soon.
Have a lovely week :-)!
Hugs to you,
Julia

Hi Carole, I'm so glad you're feeling better. You know, I've read several bloggers that are feeling similar. It's just so hard to be satisfied with what we have and not want more, even if that means followers. I struggle with it often. Love the birdie photo!

I don't know what is cuter! Your sweet pup or the picture of those three baby birds! Give Petey a kiss for me. He looks like he probably likes to snuggle. My kind of fur baby! So happy that you are feeling better. Working too hard definitely takes a toll on the body and brain. Take care of yourself.

Hi Carole, I did the same thing with my dogs. I had an endless list of things they wouldn't be allowed on or to do...HA! that lasted about two seconds after they came through the door. They own this place LOL. That picture of the birdhouse is precious and what a beautiful clematis. Heres hoping the heat wave ends sooner rather than later. Thanks for stopping by.

Love your Petey. We just lost our Dante:( Only 2 years old. So happy to see you enjoy yours so much. They really do make a difference in our lives, don't they. They are so loving, forgiving and giving and well....maybe a little manipulative;) lol Dante used to sleep on our Full size bed! Not much room for a huge shepherd and two adults.lol. He must be so much fun to come home to. Or do you take him to work? Glad you are feeling better. I'll be he helped:)
Have a fabulous weekend!

Oh Carole you know what they say about
"the best laid plans of mice and men"
well how can you resist Petey when you see him snuggling into that throw on your couch - Looks almost like you put that throw there for him! and why wouldn't you? I would too!
Love those dear little baby birds and that gorgeous clematis - what a pretty colour!
See how long it has taken me to get here to comment - and I'm sure you wouldn't mind in the least as it has taken me this long to get my head above water! Stress not! We still care about you no matter how long it takes to post - let it come organically and naturally!
Sending many cooling down hugs,
Suzy

Petey is soooooo cute! What a love.

And those little birds in the birdhouse... I have a shot like that that I took years ago with my film camera. Still think that camera took the best shots ever.

Stay cool, Carole!

Oh, and thank you for the names of the plants I can try here in my garden. I've added them to my list.
