....and the WINNER is!!!

Well kids it's finally time to announce the Winner of the 100th post give away.......sorry I've been making you wait so long. Wanted to make sure to give everyone time to enter.
Plus I've been fainting a lot from all the heat. No, not really but typing on the computer makes my palms sweat so I was afraid I'd electrocute myself. Ha-Ha!!!! Thank goodness the weather is cooling off in the next few days. We just got central air at home as of today but my computer is only at our business. Might have to get one for home I think??? Then I'd never get anything done!!!
The give away as you might remember included the Jeanne d'Arc Living Magazine and some treasures from our wonderful fleamarket trip to Madison-Bouckville in upstate New York with my friends Laura (52 Flea), Paula and Deanna
I'd like to say that I've completely decided on the other items I'm going to include but I really haven't yet. It maybe a combination of things bought at that show and from my own collection and maybe a few new. Whatever they are they will be things that will reflect the style of the magazine.
OK
The Winner is Rose of Bella Rosa.
I hope you all go visit her blog. She's relatively new to blogging and has an enthusiasm about life as well as her new blogging life that is contagious and fun to read and look at. I'm looking forward to getting to know her better.
One of the great parts about doing this giveaway was getting to be introduced to some new faces out there. I haven't gotten to all of you yet but know that in time I will. To my old blog friends know that I think of you all everyday and though I may not always have time to write back to you I treasure your friendship and support.
Thank you for all your sweet wonderful comments. They've meant so much to me.
Thank you all for entering this Giveaway!!!
Oh one last little note!!!! last night I went to the movies with some girlfriends and saw "Julie and Julia". It was wonderful!!! If you don't already know what it's about. It's the story of a girl who's in a dead end job who decides to write a blog about cooking every recipe in Julia Childs famous cookbook. It's a true story and whether you like cooking or not, Paris or not (but who doesn't like Paris)Julia Child or not......being a blogger you might find some incite into this tale.
I did!!!
And you might even be inspired to make "Boeuf Bourguingnon"
have a good night!
Carole

Hi Carole,
Congrats to Rose! Whatever you pick will be beautiful, I know it. Have a great weekend, it's super duper hot here too and it does make me a little dizzy after days of it. Good luck typing Miss Sweaty Palms and yes, I think you should have a computer for home use too ;)

HI Carole
Congratulations to Bella Rosa. Lucky girl! But we are all lucky really to have you entertain us daily with your stories & photos and great sense of humour! I'm glad you didn't really faint!! Imagine coping in that heat if corsets were still the fashion?

Well ... I so want to see this movie. I've had a few ppl mention it to me, but it will be some time before it heads down under. I think we are all like this lead character and have found 'some life' in the blogging community.

Here's to 100 more post and the well deserved comments that will accompany them!

Your Aussie buddy... xxx Julie

Hi, Carole!
Just a quick note to say "hi"! I am definitely going to see some gardens while on "holiday" here in London. Also need to post my 50th with giveaway (even though all the pretty pics are back home on my computer!)
The girls and I saw Julie and Julia while they were in town for a wedding just before we flew out. We were all laughing AND crying. I agree - BEST movie in quite a while.
Hope you have a great week and congrats to your 100th post winner!
Hugs -
Betty :)

Hi Carole,

Congratulations to Rose, she will be really happy and I see in her comment, that put a smile on her face. How neat for her.
I used to love watching Julia Childs old cooking shows, which were on our television a few months back. She was so much fun to watch. I could not get over how tall she was. Towered above everyone when she was out walking around the French markets.

Have a lovely weekend
Hugs
Carolyn

Carole, I forgot to share my lucky find with you :) At my favorite thrifta few months back, I found a really old copy of Mastering The Art If French Cooking Vol.1 by Julia Child for 95 cents. I called my oldest brother who is a Sieu (Sp?)Chef and I asked him if it was a good book, he said "Anything Julia Child is classic, get it!" so I got it and forgot about it. He called me and asked me if I still had it and what I paid for it and I told him, he said they just re-releasing it and copies are selling out at over $40, wanna sell me yours? lol needless to say I still have it :) original cover, faded colors and all :) And now that someone "I know" has seen it and loved it, I can't wait to see the movie, but knowing me, I will wait till its on DVD and relax with a bag of popcorn on my couch :) Rose
